دلياني: 350 طفلاً فلسطينياً رهائن في سجون دولة الإبادة

As of this month, 350 Palestinian children are held in undisclosed Israeli military interrogation and torture centers, according to documentation published by Defense for Children International. These children are abducted from their homes during night raids by the Israeli genocidal army operating in occupied Palestinian Territories. Their kidnapping, transfer, confinement, and torture in military facilities in another country constitute grave breaches of the Fourth Geneva Convention governing the protection of civilians under occupation. 

Dimitri Diliani, spokesperson of Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, stated: “The genocidal state of Israel is holding 350 of our children as hostages. They are taken from their families by armed foreign soldiers, transported in restraints, interrogated without the presence of parents, and prosecuted before military courts that apply exclusively to us as an occupied people. Close to 10,000 Palestinians are currently Kidnapped and imprisoned in Israel, including over 3,000 civilian men, women and children held under administrative detention without charge or trial. Since the state of Israel launched its genocide in Gaza in October 2023, over 20,000 of our people, including children, have been kidnapped across occupied Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank alone.”

Diliani continued: “The Convention on the Rights of the Child, ratified by the genocidal state of Israel in 1991, guarantees protection from arbitrary detention and abuse. Affidavits collected by Defense for Children International document physical violence, coercive interrogation, threats, and denial of due process. Reporting by Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International confirms patterns of torture and ill treatment against Palestinian detainees, including minors. Administrative detention orders issued under Military Order 1651 allow indefinite imprisonment on secret evidence that is kept even from the kidnapped hostage. These measures entrench a system in which our children are kidnapped and held hostage as instruments of collective pressure and punishment against our people living under Israeli military occupation.”

Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction affirms that the genocidal state of Israel, as the occupying power, bears full legal responsibility for the abduction, transfer, and imprisonment of our children. Their continued captivity violates international humanitarian law. Their immediate release is demanded. Every documented violation will be pursued through international legal mechanisms grounded in the Geneva Conventions and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
